Please be advised that hydrant flushing will begin on Monday April 12, 2021.

Flushing will continue over the next month as part of a routine maintenance program that is necessary to maintain the integrity of the water system, remove sediment from water mains, verify the proper operation of hydrants and valves, and maintain fire fighting capability.

Residents throughout Town may experience a drop in water pressure and water may be discolored or cloudy due to the flushing of the distribution system. This discoloration is due to mineral deposits in the watermain and do not affect the quality or safety of the water. If you have discolored water please turn your water off for five minutes and then turn run your COLD-WATER TAPS ONLY. (suggested tips; outside hose, bathtub, or laundry tub) until the water is clear.
